Kids Probiotic FAQs

Answers to Parents' Frequently Asked Questions About Raise Them Well Children's Chewable Probiotic

What is Raise Them Well Children’s Chewable Probiotic?

Raise Them Well Children’s Chewable Probiotic is a natural berry-flavored probiotic chewable designed to support immune and digestive system health[1] in children ages 4 and up.

What are “CFUs?”

“CFU” stands for Colony-Forming Units, a measure of a probiotic's potency. For children, a minimum of 5 billion CFUs per serving is recommended to ensure the probiotics are potent enough to colonize the digestive tract with healthy bacteria and provide health benefits.

How old should my child be to take Raise Them Well Children’s Chewable Probiotic?

Our probiotic chewable is designed for kids ages 4 and up.

How often should my child take a probiotic?

Our Children’s Chewable Probiotic is designed for once-daily use. Please consult your healthcare provider about the proper dosage for your child.

What is the best time to give my child a probiotic supplement?

While our Children’s Chewable Probiotic can be taken at any time of day, you may want to include it with your child’s breakfast. Studies suggest that taking a probiotic 30 minutes before or with a meal will reduce the time it takes for the good bacteria to reach your child’s gut.[2]

Does Raise Them Well Children’s Chewable Probiotic need to be refrigerated?

No. Our probiotic supplement is specially formulated to maintain its potency until after the expiration date without refrigeration! If desired, you may refrigerate after opening; refrigeration will not harm the product.

Is the Children’s Chewable Probiotic free from allergens?

Our children’s probiotic contains no gluten, dairy, soy, yeast, wheat, eggs, nuts, artificial colors, flavors, and preservatives. In addition, our probiotic supplement is non-GMO, and vegetarian-friendly.

Does Raise Them Well Children’s Chewable Probiotic contain artificial colors or flavors?

No! Our chewable probiotic's natural mixed-berry flavor and color are derived from real fruit ingredients. It is free from artificial colors, flavors, dyes, and preservatives.

What are the side effects of probiotics?

Some children may experience mild and temporary side effects after starting a probiotic - including gas, bloating, and mild changes in stool consistency.[3]

This is often a sign that the probiotics are successfully restoring balance in the gut as harmful bacteria produce gas as a side effect of being ‘outcompeted’ by the probiotic strains.

Can probiotics be taken in conjunction with other vitamins and supplements?

It is usually safe to take probiotics with other vitamins, supplements, and most medications. However, we recommend you speak with your child’s healthcare provider about taking other supplements or medications with our Children’s Chewable Probiotic.
