Reducing Toxic Burden

Reducing Toxic Burden

Our bodies are exposed to many toxins as we go about our day.  The food we eat, the water we drink, the products we use and more can all impact our health.  The effects can be both positive and negative.  Toxic burden simple refers to the accumulation of toxins within the body.

When our bodies are overwhelmed with toxins our immune system is weakened, we can experience headaches, digestive problems, bloating, brain fog, congestion, skin issues, irritability and more.  Naturally we want to reduce toxins so our bodies can operate as intended and we can feel our best.

So, how can we reduce toxins:

Drink filtered water and lots of it.  There is more in our tap water than you may realize.  Heavy metals, chlorine, disinfection byproducts and antibiotic byproducts can all be present in our tap water adding to our bodies toxic burden.

Choose multivitamins wisely.  Many supplements contain heavy metals or hidden artificial flavoring and coloring.  Sugars can also affect the absorption of the other ingredients, so your kids may love them but you aren't getting the bang for your buck.  Our vitamins are 3rd party tested for heavy metals and contain all natural ingredients.  Kids also love the taste so it's a win all around.  You can check them out HERE.

Shop organic when possible.  We understand that buying all organic all the time is not always an option, but we recommend doing so when you can.  Fortunately there are an increasing amount of budget friendly organic options from places like Aldi's but focusing on the "dirty dozen" is a great starting point.  Basically, most of the items you eat the outside of like strawberries, spinach, apples, cherries, peaches etc.

Focus on gut health.  A healthy gut has countless benefits including contributing to a healthy immune system.  Probiotics are a great addition to your daily routine as well incorporating healthy cleaning and sanitizing options.  Our Toxic Free Hand and Surface Sanitizer is ideal for killing the bad germs but leaving the good for a healthy gut.  Incorporate Mag Go in your daily routine for regularity as well.  Check out our toxic free cleaning options HERE.

If you are looking to reduce your families toxic burden, these are great starting points.  Our Facebook Group, Raise Them Well; Kinda Crunchy Families is also a great place for additional resources, support and community.  We would love to have you.
