Let's talk Elderberry.
Packed with vitamins and antioxidants, Elderberry can help reduce inflammation, strengthen your immune system and prevent and reduce the symptoms of colds and flu.
You all know that I am not a DIY kind of mom, so for me to take the time to make this myself you know it's crazy easy. Purchasing elderberry syrup and be a bit pricey and some can be too sweet for me, so making my own is a great option. Plus, you know I love the opportunity to use my Instant Pot!
Look how easy this is...
Ingredients:
1 Cup Dried Organic Elderberries (purchased from Amazon)
2 Cups Filtered Water
1 Cinnamon Stick
Directions:
Set IP to Manual for 15 minutes
Quick Release
Push Saute Button with the lid off
Allow to "simmer" for about 30 minutes stirring regularly
Allow to cool until barely warm
Strain into a jar while also pressing on the berries
Allow to cool completely
Add 1/2 cup honey if desired
How easy is that!!!
I am always looking for ways to improve our families immunity so this is an easy addition to our wellness toolbox and simple to implement. Along with elderberry syrup, our wellness toolbox is equipped with vitamins that support our children's immune function. I love our Children's Chewable Multivitamins and could not have been more excited when I was able to stop spending tons of money on multiple products once our Children's Immunity Chewable was ready. Packed with Vitamin D3, K2, Vitamin C and Zinc, the Immunity Chewable is a life saver in our home and could be one of our boys favorite vitamins to take with its citrus burst taste.
